As
some of you might know O.Henry’s, that houses Straps, has changed
hands. The New owners are two of our own Brothers, Kevin Austin and Jim
Haggerty. The purchase has been in the works for sometime and has
finally come to light. The ideas and plans that Jim & Kevin have are
in place to make O.Henry’s, “The place to be in Asheville”.
Jim
and Kevin have thought long and hard about what to do with STRAPS and
it has occurred to them that the WNC Leathermen deserve a bigger and
better space and so "THE UNDERGROUND" is being born.
This
will be STRAPS last weekend and "THE UNDERGROUND" will be born next
week. This space promises to be all that we wanted to do in STRAP’S and
more. "THE UNDERGOUND" will be an independent space, have independent
music, more room, more equipment for demos even a future separate
Bathroom and the list goes on. Even Jeff, our brother bartender, will be
behind the new bar serving you. Literally!
Come out this weekend for our last bar night in STRAP’S as we say goodbye to our old Home Bar and welcome the arrival of a new and improved space just for us…. “THE UNDERGROUND”. Jim & Kevin will be on site to answer any questions you have. So come out and see what’s happening.
